Job duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Lead lab sections and demonstrations
  • Assist students with their programming assignments and projects
  • Answer students' questions about course material

  • Grade assignments and exams
  • Help students prepare for exams
  • Meet with students one-on-one to provide additional support
  • Maintain and update course materials
  • Develop and deliver new learning activities
  • Collaborate with other LSAs and faculty members to improve the learning experience for students

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in a variety of languages, such as Java, Python, and C++
  • Experience with computer science tools and technologies, such as IDEs, debuggers, and version control systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Experience teaching or tutoring computer science students
